Located at the crossroads of creativity and conservation, our mission is to foster a dynamic and inclusive environment where individuals can engage in immersive cultural and educational experiences that celebrate the arts, sciences, and the natural world.
Dear Friends,
As 2025 comes to a close, we look back with gratitude on another remarkable year—one filled with countless moments to celebrate. And truly, WITHOUT YOU, none of our successes would be possible.
This year’s exciting milestones include breakthrough advancements in the study of Monarch Migration with partner Cellular Tracking Technologies – perhaps you caught the New York Times cover story and feature on 60 Minutes! We welcomed scientific gatherings from across the country and around the world at our 2nd Annual Marine Science Symposium, Inaugural Climate Summit, Coastal States Meeting and Annual Meetings of the Diamondback Terrapin and Oystercatcher Working Groups.
An electric lineup of arts, culture, and community events featured literary talks spotlighting translators, historians, and Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award finalists; immersive retreats created in partnership with Columbia University; New York Times coverage and reviews of our writing fellows; vibrant art shows and exhibits by our friends at the Seagrove Art Collective; guest speakers including Monarch guide and educator Estela Romero Vázquez, and lively fundraising events hosted by the Cape May Community Food Closet and the Cape May Point Civic Club.
We can’t wait for 2026 to bring you more Courtyard Stargazing, Family Science Nights, Docent Tours, Nature Journaling, Monarch Butterfly Tracking and new events and programs including the Annual Wildlife Conservation Film Festival in June and celebrating the nation’s 250th in July from a historic “Cape May Point” of View.
Thank you for your generosity, which has made these very important projects possible.
In these days when federal grants are disappearing, we are only able to make these projects happen through the donations of supporters like yourself. Please help us to continue this valuable work saving Monarch Butterflies, researching Hummingbirds, Horseshoe Crabs, Oystercatchers and many more animals, while welcoming esteemed national groups and international visitors to our Center.
